You’d like to say that the history of Wojanowo is long and impressive as it starts back in 13th century. Fortunately we don’t have much space for it here so we’ll keep it short :) A renaissance manor was built here in 1607 which then burned down during 30 Years’ war. It was reconstructed in 1667 in baroque style.
In 19th century it was rebuilt in neo-gothic style which changed its appearance dramatically. It changed from a fortified manor to a charming residence. An extra storey was added along with corner towers which make it much more recognisable. At the same time, a beautiful landscape park was added in close vicinity. During World War II war hostages who worked in paper factory in Dąbrownica lived in the palace. Then it was plundered and burned.
The manor was restored in 2005-2007 along with the stables, coach house, barn, granary and the landscape park where a fountain, orchards and new walking paths were built. Right now it’s mostly a touristic and conference centre.
