The construction started in the first half of 14th century by the order of prince Henryk I. Initially, it was a four-storey gothic residential tower. The owners lived on two of the storeys while two remaining were used as utility rooms. Later on, the tower turned into knights’ headquarters.
For a very long time it was left on its own which resulted in ‘visits’ paid by pretty much everybody – often uninvited guests. In 2001 ‘Castle in Chudów’ became its owner and the situation changed. Nowadays it’s available for sightseeing.
