One of the oldest dams, built by the Germans in 1917. While it was constructed, Lubachowskie (Bystrzyckie) Lake was created. The dam looks incredible as it is built from stone and has some old mechanisms that haven’t been used for a very long time. It’s 44 metres high and 230 metres long. It crosses Bystrzyca river and looks like a giant defensive wall. It’s even more impressive when you look at it from the top.
The lake, the surrounding area and a nearby castle in Grodno are a recreational site and one of the biggest attractions of Owl Mountains.
