"Bąkowiec" Castle

SD/HD Mute

Bąkowiec was cursed from the very beginning. We shouldn’t have come here without the drone since when we came the next day, the following happened: SD card broke, then the stabilising stopped working, it started raining and in the end, the battery charging the LCD screen died and we had to film like real drone pros – manually. Four recordings! After which we had to find a place to charge the batteries again.

About Bąkowiec. It’s a military castle that was probably built somewhere in 14th century by Duke Vladislavus II of Opole. Probably, because there are no documents that could prove it. At first it was a wooden stronghold. Brick castle was erected on the verge of 15th and 16th century. It wasn’t a particularly important castle, even though it was practically unconquerable due to its location on the rock. Parts of a stone gate leading to a small courtyard along with some remains of the wall and a tower are still present today.
